What will they come up with next, you ask?! Introducing, the Eyeliner Wheel by Woosh Beauty! I saw this on the end-cap at Ulta and thought to myself, “this probably isn’t going to work, but I need to try it anyways!” So, here I am having tested it out and want to give you all the “Sweet Deets”!
What is the Eyeliner Wheel?
Let’s start off with the basics – Woosh Beauty describes the Eyeliner Wheel as:
The world’s first roll-on eyeliner tool! (Patent-pending) The Eyeliner Wheel was created to help you get a perfect, expert eyeliner look, without the challenges you’ve come to accept as part of your everyday makeup routine.
Designed to eliminate all of the traditional tugging, the endless back and forth, and the shaky lines drawn with hands that just won’t stay steady, this wheel is the stress-free solution to all of your eyeliner woes. Create a classic sleek line, a winged liner flick, or a creation of your own without worry because the wheel rolls along your lid creating a clean, even, sleek line each and every time.
Where to get it & How Much Does it Cost?
You can get the Eyeliner Wheel and Woosh Beauty’s other innovative makeup items on Ulta.com & in select Ulta Beauty Stores. It costs a whopping $29 for this doubled ended eyeliner tool. Pretty over priced if you ask me…
How do you use the Eyeliner Wheel?
Woosh Beauty’s Instructions: “Simply dip and roll the wheel in Woosh Beauty’s Double Decker Liner or another liner of your choice, to coat the outer rim. Using your lash line as a guide, place the wheel closer to the outer edge and roll out to create an extended flick. Keeping the wheel in place without lifting from the skin, gently rock it back towards the lash line and then roll to your inner eye. Flip to the angled brush on the opposite end for an optional way to soften, perfect, and set.”
Does it Actually Work?
Absolutely not, ha! I honestly tried it a few different ways and I can’t get it to work how I want it to. I used my favorite gel eyeliner and it was just a fail. The wheel isn’t tight, so it rolls kind of “wonky”, so that makes it even more difficult. BUT, the angled brush end is an amazing brush for winged liner and I LOVE it for filling in my brows! But would I spend $29 for just that … no.
M.A.C. Cosmetics came out with this similar product that had a lot of negative reviews … and even though this Woosh Beauty tool isn’t a plastic wheel (like M.A.C.’s), it still doesn’t perform perfectly like you need eyeliner to be! One false move with eyeliner and you are totally f*@$ed!
What are the Pros & Cons?
- Innovative and unique.
- The angled brush is AMAZING at winged eyeliner and filling in brows!
- Expensive for what it is and what it does.
- Wheel is too thick.
- Can’t use the wheel for winged liner (so what’s the point?).
- Difficult to coat the whole wheel.
- The application is patchy and you have to use the brush side no matter what.
Is it Sweet Inspo Approved?!
If you haven’t already guessed … no it is not Sweet Inspo Approved! It is a total Gimmick IMO. I didn’t have high hopes for it and I was proved right. But, like I said, I love the angled brush side! However, you could just get the Sonia Kashuk Angled Eye Liner Brush from Target that is less than half the price of the Eyeliner Wheel and be totally satisfied.
